As the truck finance arm of Expediter Services it is the mission of Expediter Equipment Finance (EEF) to provide competitive truck financing to as many Expediter Services Owner-Operators as possible.

 

Every application is carefully reviewed by an EEF truck finance specialist and then matched with the best funding source available.  These decisions are based on the applicant’s credit profile, their experience, the specs of the truck being purchased, and other factors as well.

 

While not every applicant will qualify for financing, Expediter Services Owner-Operators have a much better chance of being approved due to the credit enhancements that Expediter Services has made available to our EEF lenders.  These enhancements lower the lenders’ risk factors which allow a wider range of credit profiles to be approved due to the lender’s being more aggressive during the underwriting process.

The following are the list of the credit enhancements that are only available to owner-operators that are part of the Expediter Services’ team:

 

  1. Down Payment Loans – Expediter Services will assist their owner-operators with down payment loans to help them qualify for available truck financing
  2. Payroll Deducted Truck Payments – These allow lenders to feel more comfortable that the truck payments will be available when due.
  3. Loan/Lease Assumption Options – Assumption options allow Expediter Services to assume a loan or lease if the owner-operator, for any reason, cannot continue with their truck finance agreement.
  4. Factory Discounts on New Trucks – Expediter Services has negotiated discounts at the factory level for new trucks.  Recently Freightliners agreed to an $8,000.00 discount on the purchases of new Cascadias.  Lenders like lower prices and they often will lower the size of the down payment requests.
  5. More Profitable Owner-Operators – The industry discounts, along with the on-line freight search engine, available to Expediter Services Owner-Operators allow them to generate enough additional profit each month that it often makes their entire truck payment.
